Acupressure is a manual therapy technique that is used to relieve pain and muscle tension. Acupressure is performed using fingers gradually pressing onto key points around the body to simulate pain relief and muscle relaxation. The acupressure technique is used on trigger points within muscles and soft tissues.

Deep Tissue

Deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia.

Similar to Swedish massage, Deep Tissue Massage is used to relax the entire body but it is used on the deeper muscle tissue with deeper pressure. Along with the deep muscle tissue, the tendons and fascia will be worked on as well. The fascia consists of is a fibrous tissue and is the connective and protective layer around the joints.

Cupping

Massage cupping therapy is a therapeutic art that uses specialize cupping equipment to target certain points on the body to relieve pain by draining excess fluids and toxins; stimulating the peripheral nervous system; bringing blood flow to stagnant muscles and skin; and loosening adhesions, connective tissue and stubborn knots in soft tissue.

Cups are placed onto the body and then the skin, tissues, and muscles are gently lifted inside. This process promotes the flow of blood to the tissues and muscles, and supplies nutrients to the cells.

This therapy softens tightened muscles and loosens any adhesions or knots. By lifting the connecting tissues, cupping opens blockages in the lymphatic nodes. This action allows the flow of lymph and releases excess fluids. This process also draws inflammation from the deep tissues to the surface of the skin so that they can heal.

Hot Stone Therapy

Melt away your stress with this wonderfully therapeutic treatment. The natural heated stones become an extension of the therapist's hands bringing much needed relief to your tired, sore muscles.

Hot stones harness the power of heat to induce relaxation. Massage therapists place stones, warmed to the proper heat, on specific parts of the body where they illicit calm and loosen up muscles for subsequent bodywork. Heat enhances circulation and improves the quality of treatment. Locations include focal points in areas where clients feel discomfort.
